Opalescence PF 16% Whitening Gel – 4 Syringes

Opalescence™ Whitening Gel is a refill-strength option designed for use with custom dental trays. Suitable for individuals who prefer a lower-intensity whitening formulation. Intended for convenient at-home use, including daytime or evening wear, as part of a dentist-guided whitening routine.

Opalescence Whitening Gel 16% is available in a set of two or four convenient syringes, each designed for use with custom or prefabricated whitening trays. The formula may contain carbamide peroxide as its active whitening agent and usually includes PF (potassium nitrate and fluoride) to enhance user comfort.

The set includes four syringes of Opalescence PF 16% whitening gel in selected flavours (flavours can be mixed): melon, mint, or regular.

Opalescence PF whitening gels are based on carbamide peroxide and have an improved formula enriched with fluoride and potassium nitrate. These ingredients help reduce tooth sensitivity and increase comfort during Whitening.

Adding potassium nitrate and fluoride ions helps eliminate or significantly decrease sensitivity throughout treatment.

The pH level of the Opalescence gel is approximately 6.5, which is close to neutral. The formula contains 20% water, helping to minimise the risk of tooth dehydration during Whitening.

Use with Custom Trays

Opalescence PF gel should be used with custom-made dental trays or trays purchased from our store (link here), which are prepared from impressions taken by a dental professional. 

Once applied to the trays, the Gel remains active for approximately 8–10 hours. Whitening is commonly performed overnight or for several hours during the day, with visible tooth brightening often noticeable after the first night.
A typical whitening cycle lasts around one week.

Safety & Additional Information

• Dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, and fillings do not whiten

• Temporary tooth sensitivity to cold may occur in a small percentage of users and usually subsides within 1–3 days after treatment

• A dentist may recommend a desensitising product (e.g. UltraEZ) if required

Each syringe contains 1.2 ml, providing a single-use dose.

Simple Application

1. Apply one continuous drop of whitening gel into the tray, using approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the syringe.

2. Place the tray onto the teeth. Gently press the tray so the gel settles into position. Avoid pressing too firmly, as this may cause the gel to overflow from the tray.

3. If gel comes out of the tray, gently remove excess gel from the gums using a soft toothbrush.

4. Clean the whitening tray with a soft toothbrush and warm water. Store the tray in its case when not in use.
