Amino Growth Matrix
Athletes and active people certainly know about the critical function that amino acids play in our bodies. These substances are the basic building blocks of proteins, and they also participate in numerous metabolic processes. Therefore, amino acid supplementation is a prevalent practice.
The first blend in Superhuman Sleep is based on a combination of two amino acids. One of them is glycine, a compound with anti-catabolic properties. Glycine inhibits the breakdown of proteins and, at the same time, accelerates muscle regeneration. However, not everyone knows this amino acid also works on our nervous system. Glycine can improve sleep quality, increase concentration levels, and enhance memory. So it is a compound with very versatile effects.
The second ingredient in this blender is L-tryptophan, which is a derivative of tryptophan. Like glycine, tryptophan has a very beneficial effect on brain function. Studies have shown that a deficiency of this amino acid can lead to the appearance of mood disorders and even depression. In turn, these two factors are directly linked to insomnia. Equally important is that tryptophan is a precursor of two hormones – serotonin and melatonin. Particular attention should be paid to melatonin because it determines practically all our sleep. There, our sleep quality and tryptophan levels are significant for all active people.
ZMA Recovery Matrix
Sleep is supposed to enable our bodies to regenerate effectively. Of course, its effectiveness depends on many factors. Fortunately, we can make it more comprehensive. For this purpose, you must provide your body with substances to help regenerate damaged cells and tissues.
Blend ZMA Recovery Matrix contains as many as three substances that support the regeneration of the body:
- Magnesium chelate diglycinate – magnesium supplementation is primarily recommended for people who struggle with muscle cramps or tremors. However, this element has a much broader effect on our bodies. It is essential for the functioning of the nervous system because neurons are susceptible to its deficiency. That is why taking magnesium can help to fight mild depressive states. It should also not be forgotten that this element strengthens muscles and improves regeneration. Magnesium is, therefore, an essential supplement for every athlete. What’s important is that the unique TRAACS formula significantly increases its absorption!
- Zinc – Zinc is another critical element for athletes, especially men. It affects numerous processes related to the functioning of the male reproductive system. Therefore, possible zinc deficiencies may impair sperm production and reduce the amount of testosterone produced. In addition, zinc, like magnesium, affects the entire nervous system. Therefore, its supplementation can be beneficial for both men and women.
- Vitamin B6 – vitamins have always been an essential component of various dietary supplements. However, this is hardly surprising. Without vitamins, our bodies cannot function properly, so their deficiencies are hazardous. Regarding B vitamins, it is worth paying attention to pyridoxine, or vitamin B6. It participates in the transformation of amino acids and protein synthesis. Of course, both of these processes occur during the development of muscle tissue. This means the right amount of vitamin B6 supports muscle building and body regeneration. Moreover, pyridoxine is also involved in synthesising serotonin, i.e., the happiness hormone.
High Matrix
The third blend found in the Superhuman Sleep formula is High Matrix. This blend mainly affects the brain’s work. Scientists have identified several different substances, the supplementation of which can support the work of the most crucial organ in our body. Alpha Lion has used three such substances to create this blend:
- L-glutamine – for many years, glutamine was mainly seen as an amino acid that supports the immune system. It was not until later that scientists discovered that it also affects the nervous system. Glutamine is converted into glutamate, which in turn is partially converted into GABA or gamma-aminobutyric acid. It is also impossible to ignore the documented effect of glutamine on processes related to building muscle tissue.
- GABA – the aforementioned gamma-aminobutyric acid is a truly remarkable substance. By some experts, it is referred to as a natural type of benzodiazepine. Even today, drugs from the benzodiazepine group are used to treat insomnia and anxiety attacks. Therefore, it is not hard to guess that GABA has a potent effect on our brain. Gamma-aminobutyric acid not only reduces the level of anxiety experienced but is also a natural treatment for insomnia. Therefore, people with sleep problems will benefit doubly when taking supplements containing GABA.
- L-DOPA (Mucuna pruriens/Stringwort) – another natural substance with exciting properties. Researchers have discovered that large amounts of this compound are found in the seeds of the scabies plant (Mucuna pruriens). Therefore, this inconspicuous plant quickly aroused great interest. L-DOPA is a derivative of tyrosine, the amino acid responsible for producing dopamine and adrenaline, among other things. Because of this, it can equally affect the synthesis of various hormones. Studies have shown that L-DOPA increases the amount of testosterone and growth hormone produced. There are also reports of a positive correlation between L-DOPA use and reduced anxiety.
Tranquility Matrix
Researchers studying insomnia have come to many important conclusions. One of them was to prove that lack of sleep is often linked to emotional problems. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to escape from such issues. After all, every person has worse moments associated with various events. In such moments, it is difficult to calm the mind, which torments us with hundreds of thoughts. Fortunately, we can calm it down with the Tranquillity Matrix Blend.
Alpha Lion has created this blend based on two substances with proven sleep-inducing effects. These are:
- Chamomile Flower Extract – our ancestors often made infusions of chamomile flowers. This plant was used as a remedy for various problems related to the digestive system. In addition, chamomile is also a natural panacea for sleep problems. As far as the sleep aspect is concerned, it has its scientific basis. It turns out that the chemical compounds contained in chamomile flowers can imitate the effects of drugs from the benzodiazepine group. Of course, such an effect is weaker, but in the case of light sleep problems, it can be beneficial.
- Melatonin – in all scientific studies concerning sleep devoted to melatonin. Nothing is surprising about this. After all, melatonin is the hormone that determines almost all aspects of feeling sleepy. What is clear is that melatonin synthesis occurs naturally in our brains. However, it can also be supplemented, which, by the way, provides significant benefits. Short-term melatonin intake reduces the time it takes to fall asleep and helps regulate the biological clock.
Anti-Stress Matrix
However, melatonin and a good night’s sleep. It is, of course, stress. Nowadays, we experience stress almost every day. Admittedly, pressure is not only harmful because sometimes it forces our body to work more efficiently. However, this only applies to short-term stress. Long-term stress, on the other hand, is disastrous for our health.
How to deal with it. Experts recommend using various relaxation techniques and avoiding situations that cause stress. However, it is not always possible. Therefore, it is also worth reaching for external support through the Anti-Stress Matrix blend.
This blend includes:
- Ashwagandha KSM-66 – Ginseng and ashwagandha are two trendy plants with medicinal properties. Their similarities are so significant that ashwagandha is sometimes called Indian ginseng. However, of much greater importance are its properties. Ashwagandha contains withanolides, i.e., active substances affecting, among others, our nervous system. Numerous scientific studies have confirmed regular supplementation with withanolides can reduce perceived stress levels. For this reason, it is worth reaching for Ashwagandha KSM-6. It is a patented version of the extract from this plant, which contains exactly 5% of withanolides. This standardisation is a guarantee of beneficial effects!
- L-theanine – of all the teas, green tea has the most health-promoting properties. This is because its leaves are rich in antioxidants. But apart from antioxidants, green tea leaves also contain L-theanine. This is a compound that has a calming effect on our bodies. Studies have shown that taking L-theanine before bedtime can reduce the time it takes to fall asleep and improve sleep quality.
Absorption Matrix
The final blend included in Superhuman Sleep is the Absorption Matrix blend. Like the previous complexes, it was created by combining three ingredients. They work by increasing the body’s ability to absorb nutrients.
This blend contains:
- Sodium (sodium chloride) – doctors and nutritionists often warn against excessive salt consumption. This is because it is supposed to lead to excess sodium in the body. However, similar messages have caused many people to abandon the consumption of products containing sodium altogether. Unfortunately, such a practice is equally unfavourable, especially for athletes. Sodium is an element belonging to the group of electrolytes. This means that it affects all body fluids. Sodium deficiency even leads to impaired permeability of cell membranes. Because of this, cells can’t get the nutrients they need to function correctly. To make matters worse, sodium is regularly excreted from the body with sweat. So athletes need to make sure their sodium levels are replenished!
- AstraGin – The body’s ability to absorb nutrients is crucial. Even a proper diet will not provide all the necessary vitamins and minerals if it is too low in calories. Various preparations have appeared on the market to support these processes. One of them is AstraGin, a supplement that combines astragalus and false ginseng. Both of these plants contain compounds that increase the absorption of other nutrients. Therefore, their combination guarantees the best results!
- Potassium (potassium citrate) is another essential electrolyte. The element regulates the entire body with particular emphasis on the nervous system. Selenium deficiencies lead to malabsorption of nutrients and sleep problems. Integration with this element is, therefore, often necessary. Sodium citrate is a highly bioavailable form of potassium. Hence, the best choice during supplementation!
