These are supplements that accelerate the effects of work on your figure. They are becoming more and more popular every year. So how does a fat burner work, and what should you consider when choosing one?
What is a fat burner?
Fat burners are dietary supplements that aim to speed up the body’s reduction processes. Thanks to this, the effects of exercise will be much more visible. First, however, it would help if you remembered regular physical activity. It can be a workout at the gym, endurance training like swimming pool, running or cycling, or even walking. Of course, the burner will work even without activity, but the effects will not impress with spectacularity.
Fat burners are designed to increase body heat. They have various types of thermogenic substances in them. These can be, for example, caffeine or guarana. These types of products aim to mobilize the body to use energy reserves. They are located in the fat tissue.
What fat burning processes occur in the body?
There are two main types of fat burning in the human body. The first one is thermogenesis. These are all metabolic processes during which the body burns calories to maintain body temperature or raise it. They occur naturally, even without taking additional supplements. Additional acceleration of these can result in arousal and a faster heart rate. This will consequently lead to increased endurance and performance during training. Another advantage is the optimization of metabolism. Thermogenic substances found in supplements lead to a multiplication of fat breakdown processes.
The second process which takes place in the human body is lipolysis. During this process, fat in fat cells is burned. It requires two hormones: adrenaline and noradrenaline. Additional stimulation of these reactions through supplementation makes them occur at a much higher intensity. This allows a large amount of heat energy to be released.
Consequently, this will lead to an increase in body temperature and accelerated reduction. Keep in mind, however, that lipolysis especially intensifies during activity. Up to 75% of the energy is converted into heat and 25% into muscle work.
